Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Chemistry
Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry
The Department of Chemistry offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Chemistry and a B.S. degree in Biochemistry; these are designed to provide opportunities for preparation for careers in environmental studies, government agencies, industry, medical technology, pre-professional programs, and for graduate study in chemistry or other related fields.
The chemistry faculty direct research on a variety of topics, and graduate students work closely with faculty to play an important role in this research. Class sizes are generally small and students receive a considerable amount of individual attention.
