Research Interests
Dr. Jha’s research focuses on artificial intelligence, logic, automata theory, emerging architectures, and quantum computing. His research into the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning has led to publications in elite venues such as IJCAI, AAAI, and NeurIPS. Dr. Jha’s lab is currently working on a DARPA project that designs robust AI systems for high-assurance applications. He is also supported by the Department of Energy and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for creating new algorithms that explain AI decisions to human experts and vice versa. Dr. Jha is leading a $1 million National Science Foundation effort to design novel accelerators using emerging and future technologies that have led to publications in elite venues, such as DAC and ICCAD.
Dr. Jha’s doctoral students, including Hispanic and women researchers, have graduated exclusively into research positions in academia, government, and industry. Dr. Jha is a recipient of the prestigious Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Award.
