Research Interests
Dr. Godet’s research involves carbonate sedimentology, chemostratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy and diagenesis to develop integrated stratigraphic models and paleoenvironmental reconstructions. His students explore the resilience of carbonate-producing shallow-marine ecosystems to supergreenhouse conditions of the Early Cretaceous, the preservation and paleoenvironmental significance of dinosaur tracks for which digital archives are created, and the role of post-depositional mechanisms in promoting the development of source and reservoir rocks.
