TSI Registration Holds

A student whose scores on the TSI Assessment indicate that he or she has not met the minimum standards set by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in one or more of the three areas of reading, writing, and mathematics will have a TSI hold placed on his or her record and must participate in the UTSA Developmental Education Program.

Students with Texas Success Initiative (TSI) holds are advised and registered for their developmental/co-requisite courses by TSI Programs. TSI programs can be contacted at TexasSuccessInitiative@utsa.edu or 210-458-4498.

Students required to participate in the UTSA Developmental Education Program may not exit the program until they have fulfilled all the requirements of the program and may not drop a developmental activity during the semester. Developmental education activities will not count toward any degree at UTSA.
