31st Annual Diploma Dash set for Saturday, April 4
(March 6, 2015) -- Saturday, April 4, 2015 marks the 31st Annual UTSA Alumni Diploma Dash 5K. The run around campus is a certified 5K, serves as the official San Antonio City Championship Race and is open to runners, walkers, families and dogs.
The race will proceed rain or shine and is a great way to see the growth and beauty of the UTSA Main Campus. Race day registration, packet pick-up and warm-up begins at 7 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m. at the UTSA Convocation Center, which will also serve as the finish line. After the race, stick around for music, Pepsi, beer, Whataburger taquitos, Pollo Tropical mini chops, Popeye's chicken biscuits and Kiolbassa sausage wraps.
Participants who register by March 26 will receive the 2015 Diploma Dash t-shirt. Registration is $15 for all students and children, $35 for adults, and $25 for Alumni Association members. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category.
