Verizon Distributed Antenna Systems Project underway on Main Campus
(May 12, 2015) – Work on the Verizon Distributed Antenna Systems project began Monday, May 11 on the UTSA Main Campus and is scheduled for completion on June 27.
The weekday work – Monday through Friday – includes accessing manholes in the Service Drive (tunnel) between the McKinney Humanities building (MH) and the Applied Engineering and Technology Building (AET) for approximately 15 to 20 minutes each to explore pathways options for pulling fiber optic cable.
The weekend work – Saturday's only – includes pulling cable and requires that the Service Drive be shut-down to one lane. Flag staff and barricades will be on-site to assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
