UTSA Office of P-20 Initiatives will host a parent engagement summit May 30
(May 27, 2015) -- The UTSA Office of P-20 Initiatives will host “The P-20 Summit: "Parent Engagement" from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m on Saturday, May 30 in the Buena Vista Street Building at the UTSA Downtown Campus. The summit is free and open to the public; free parking will be available.
The event will offer parents information on preparing their children for high school as well as other great community resources.
Parents will learn about workforce needs in our region and get in-depth information about four of the new Career Pathways in STEM, Business and Industry, Public Service and Arts and Humanities, as provided in House Bill 5.
Event committee members include UTSA, Alamo Colleges, UTSA Academy for Teacher Excellence, UTSA Office of P-20 Initiatives, Education Service Center Region 20 (ESC-20), Boerne ISD, St. Mary’s University and Communities in Schools.
