UTSA photo of the day: Engineering with LEGOs™
(Aug. 10, 2015) — Here’s a way to think outside the box when playing with LEGOs™. This student is part of a Interactive Technology Experience Center (iTEC) summer camp at the UTSA College of Engineering, and he’s learning to build a functional vehicle that he and other campers will later program themselves using software in the college’s engineering laboratories.
iTEC hosts a variety of STEM-based summer camps every year for children in kindergarten up to their senior year of high school, to encourage critical thinking and an early interest in the applied sciences. The camps make an effort to go beyond textbook learning and help kids embrace the world of engineering by having fun through hands-on experiences.
