UTSA's Nano Plaza

(Aug. 6, 2015) — Nano Plaza rests between the Applied Engineering and Technology (AET) and the Biosciences Building on the UTSA Main Campus. Commissioned and dedicated in 2010, the shaded plaza consists of sculptures inspired by nanoscience. At the entrance of the plaza are two steel Nano Lights, which evoke the structure of nanoparticles and frame the large Nano Ball fountain, pictured here. The Nano Ball uses recycled water to serve as a symbole of infinite energy. UTSA installed the plaza as a monument to the majesty of the nano-world.
