Roadrunner Days: Events schedule for Tuesday, Aug. 18
(Aug. 18, 2015) -- President Ricardo Romo will host two barbecue events on Tuesday, Aug. 18, as part of UTSA Roadrunner Days, the kick-off for the new academic year. UTSA students, faculty and staff are invited to the free events at the Main and Downtown campuses.
The President's BBQ on the Plaza will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bill Miller Plaza on the Downtown Campus. There will be free t-shirts while the supply lasts.
In the evening, enjoy a free barbecue dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Convocation Center east lawn. The event will feature a live musical performance by Moonlight Social, an up-and-coming country group from Austin, Texas featuring Jeremy Burchard and Jennica Scott.
The official kick-off of the new academic year, UTSA Roadrunner Days continues through Aug. 22 at the Main and Downtown campuses. The events and activities give students an opportunity to take part in time-honored UTSA traditions and connect with UTSA resources.
