It's not too late: Some helpful tips for year-end UTSA gift planning
(Dec. 11, 2015) -- Many UTSA faculty, staff, alumni and friends will make their final gifts of the year to UTSA during the last few weeks of December.
Here are some tips to ensure that your gift to the university is eligible for a 2015 tax receipt:
By credit card: Your online credit card gift must be made by 11:59 p.m., Central time, Dec. 31, 2015. We encourage you to make your gift on the UTSA Giving website so that it can be processed immediately.
By check: If you wish to make a gift by check, it must be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2015. Send your check to: The University of Texas at San Antonio Gift Services, One UTSA Circle, San Antonio, Texas 78249
By stock or securities: Transfers of stock and securities take longer than traditional gifts and must be processed by Dec. 31, 2015. For more information, call Gift Services at 210-458-6818 for transfer information.
Planned giving: To learn more about planned giving opportunities such as will bequests, gifts of IRA assets, and charitable annuities and trusts, call 210-458-4154.
Hours and questions: The offices of External Relations will be closed during the winter break on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25. Gift Services will be open until 3 p.m. on Dec. 23, 28, 29, 30, and 31. UTSA is closed on Friday, Jan. 1 and normal business hours will resume Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.
