Ricardo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Multinational Organizational Studies from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. Years later, he earned a Master of Arts in English at UTSA. Ricardo has over a decade of experience working with abused children and their families. One day, he decided to make a change and came to the Tomás Rivera Center and became a mentor. After completing his graduate degree, Ricardo worked for a non-profit organization assisting high school students applying to college. He has been at the TRC for over five years (and has loved every minute of it), and in his spare time teaches English at a local junior college. He has a wife (who is a teacher), two grown step-sons, and a daughter in middle school.
