A letter to UTSA employees

DEAR UTSA EMPLOYEE,

Dr. Romo The University of Texas at San Antonio has always been, and remains, committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. To that end, the university must meet the challenge of operating in an increasingly complex environment in which federal and state oversight is on the rise. This Standards of Conduct Guide is a part of the Institutional Compliance Program and has been developed as a tool to help us meet the challenges that face the university. While most employees are aware of compliance standards and are sensitive to these issues, we believe that this guide will give you a
better understanding of your ethical and legal obligations by providing you with information and resources about appropriate conduct in the workplace.
I commend each of you for your high personal and professional standards and encourage you to
use this Standards of Conduct Guide in making decisions about ethical issues that may arise at
work. Your partnership and skills are important to the success of the Compliance Program and
to the overall mission of the institution. Thank you for your cooperation and for all you do for
The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Sincerely,
Romo's Sig

Ricardo Romo, Ph.D.
