(Sept. 3, 2019) -- Students are back on campus after the holiday weekend. Roadrunner Days provides more fun and excitement this week with a focus on getting involved and giving back.

This year, UTSA welcomes new freshman and transfer students to Roadrunner Nation during the 16-day celebration. They will take part in time-honored UTSA traditions, learn about valuable UTSA resources, make memories that will last a lifetime, all important foundations to enhance the exceptional student experience UTSA fosters.
Here’s what’s going on during Roadrunner Days this week:
Get Involved Fair and Leadership Expo – Downtown Campus
Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Bill Miller Plaza, Downtown Campus
Meet with reps. from more than 50 UTSA organizations, non-profit partners and various UTSA departments to find an interest and get involved.
Career Center Part-time Job Fair
Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Student Union first and second floors, Main Campus
Stop by to get information about working while at UTSA and meet potential employers.
Get Involved Fair and Leadership Expo – Main Campus
Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Central Plaza and Sombrilla Plaza. Main Campus
Meet with reps. from more than 150 UTSA organizations, non-profit partners and various UTSA departments to find an interest and get involved.
LeaderShape Reunion
Thursday, 5 p.m., Student Union Denman Room (SU 2.01.28), Main Campus
The LeaderShape Reunion allows participants from the 6 day program to reunite after summer and catch up on their visions and plans that they made at The Institute. The program features a video review of the program, food, Institute Roll Call, and some tips and program ideas for the next year of The Institute.
Student Government Association (SGA) Meeting
Thursday, 5:30 p.m., Student Union Denman Room (SU 2.01.28), Main Campus
The SGA General Assembly Meeting provides an open forum for all students to share their thoughts. Throughout the semester the meeting will include guests from the UTSA administration to provide information regarding major campus projects and initiatives.
Open Mic Night
Thursday, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Student Union Denman
This is a chance for students to have their five minutes to shine! Whether it’s singing, poetry, music, comedy, or another performance, all current UTSA students are invited to this semester’s first Open Mic Night. Students interested in participating can register on RowdyLink to secure their spot in the lineup.
UTSA Volleyball vs. Houston
Friday, 12 p.m., Convocation Center, Main Campus
Take a break between classes at the Convo to catch the volleyball team in action during the UTSA Classic. All current UTSA students get in free to all home athletics events with a UTSA ID.
Roadrunner Success Walk
Friday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., various locations, Main Campus
The Tomas Rivera Center will host sessions for students to learn about academic success coaching, supplemental instruction, tutoring services and Libraries services. Find the session that interests you.
UTSA Women’s Soccer vs. Cleveland State
Friday, 7:30 p.m., Park West Athletics Complex
Come out and cheer the UTSA soccer team as they host Cleveland State. Grab a free bus ride to the game from the Convocation Center. All current UTSA students get in free to all home athletics events with a UTSA ID.
Roadrunner Days Service Projects
Saturday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., check in at Student Union Window Lounge, Main Campus
Join a fellow Roadrunners for a morning of service in support of your campus and the local San Antonio community. It’s a great way to meet other students and see more of the campus while learning about and experiencing UTSA’s deep commitment to community service. Go to the Volunteer Services Page to sign up.
UTSA Volleyball vs. UT Rio Grande Valley
Saturday, 10 a.m., Convocation Center, Main Campus
Cheer on the UTSA Volleyball Team as they take on UT RGV. All current UTSA students get in free to all home athletics events with a UTSA ID.
Library Quest
Saturday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., John Peace Library 2nd floor, Main Campus
Explore the JPL to learn more about what the UTSA Libraries offer to make you successful. Bring some friends or join a group. Finish the quest for a chance to win prizes. Also enjoy free ice cream while supplies last.
UTSA Volleyball vs.University of Maryland
Saturday, 7 p.m., Convocation Center, Main Campus
The team is back in action for a game against Maryland. All current UTSA students get in free to all home athletics events with a UTSA ID.
