University announces change to registration schedule and process

University announces change to registration schedule and process

Sept. 27, 2019 -- Beginning Oct. 21, UTSA will open its Spring 2020 registration. Current and new students will be able to register for spring classes based on their priority group or classification and within a designated registration period with specific start and end dates—which is a change to how registration has been done.

“Our new spring registration is structured like many other large universities here in Texas and across the nation,” says University Registrar and Associate Vice Provost Eric Cooper. “This will ensure each group has an uninterrupted and dedicated window of time to register for their spring courses.”

It is highly recommended that students take care of any registration holds, meet with academic advisers, double-check prerequisites and verify on their student portal ASAP if they meet all the requirements for registration.

In the weeks preceding Oct. 21, the Registrar’s Office will be sending students emails regarding the Spring 2020 schedule, which will include their access times, any holds that may be on their account and instructions on how to register.

New freshmen and transfer students for Spring 2020 will be able to start scheduling their spring courses during the appropriate designated time after they have completed orientation and met with their academic advisers.

See the detailed registration schedule and instructions on how to register on the Spring 2020 registration page.
