James joined the Office of Institutional Compliance & Risk Services in March 2004. Prior to beginning his service at UTSA, James worked for the City of San Antonio for seven years, four years as a Planner and Management Analyst and three years as an Auditor.

James holds a BBA in Accounting and a Masters of Public Administration degree from UTSA. James holds certifications as a Fraud Examiner and a Public Manager.
