Assistant/Associate Professor in Neurobiology

The Department of Biology at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor in Neurobiology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Doctoral degree in Neurobiology or related field; (2) Relevant postdoctoral experience and demonstrated potential for excellence in Neurobiology; (3) external funding; (4) Teach neurobiology courses offered within the Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Biology is seeking an outstanding scientist addressing molecular, biochemical and genetic mechanisms underlying synaptic plasticity, its modulation, and its role in learning and memory, addiction, nervous system disease, or central mechanisms of pain. Develop a productive research laboratory, to contribute to our undergraduate and graduate programs in Biology and Neurobiology, and to the UTSA Neurosciences Institute and Brain Health Consortium.
