Funding

This research project is funded through the USDA USFS Valles Caldera National Preserve.

The Valles Caldera National Preserve uses science-based adaptive management to monitor the programs they create, using the results to aid in their decision-making. Along with monitoring, the preserve science staff is engaged in inventorying the many types of flora and fauna on the preserve. To help protect the preserve and its wildlife, plants and water quality, we must understand the diversity and populations living there.
