University Career Center Downtown
This Fall 2012 semester the University Career Center at the Downtown Campus hosted several events that helped promote students career development. Among those events hosted was the SAPD Law Enforcement Career Day that provided information on the hiring process and units within the department.
Also offered this semester were the Federal Law Enforcement Panel and Criminal Justice Group Mock Interviews that gave students the opportunity to hear information and asks questions on what employers are looking for in potential new hires.
Another event offered this semester was The College of Architecture Speed Networking event held at the Center for Architecture was an opportunity for student to connect with professionals in the fields of architecture and interior design. Students practiced their “elevator speeches” and were able to network and connect with designers in the field.
This semester the University Career Center at The Downtown Campus partnered up with the San Antonio Colleges and Universities Career Centers Association and offered the SACUCCA Career Conference and Job Fair.
The final event for the semester was the Public Administration and Non Profit Employer Panel that gave students the opportunity to hear information and asks questions on what employers are looking for in potential new hires.
