About

Cardboard Kids UTSA is a university-wide child abuse prevention awareness campaign and contest for all UTSA students, faculty, staff and local alumni. Partnering with ChildSafe and in honor of the university's urban-serving mission, UTSA is serving as an official distribution site for the city-wide Cardboard Kids campaign this year. Presented by UTSA Volunteer Services and VOICES—the university's student-run volunteer organization—UTSA will engage the entire university community in this effort to draw attention to the pervasiveness of child abuse. Roadrunners will decorate hundreds of two-foot-tall Cardboard Kid figures, then display them throughout campus on Reveal Day, April 4. A contest for the best UTSA Cardboard Kids will take place on Reveal Day, with UTSA's First Lady Peggy Eighmy serving as special guest judge. To learn more about Cardboard Kids, visit the official website.
