Volunteer Services connects the UTSA and San Antonio communities through a broad range of service opportunities for student involvement, while addressing social issues and community needs.
Our office is an extension of the Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion; we are located in UC 1.216 on the Paseo (facing Starbucks).
UTSA students are encouraged to apply now for the 2015 Student Volunteer of the Year and Sandra Cisneros Award. The award honors an outstanding student for their time, effort and commitment to volunteerism and enhancing civic life in their community. Applicants must embody the true spirit of civic engagement and volunteerism.
All applications must be submitted by March 4th at 11:45pm.
Application found here.
You may request to have a Volunteer Services staff member conduct a presentation to your class or to your student organization. One-on-one meetings with the Program Coordinator for Volunteer Services can also be scheduled to discuss individual, personalized volunteer opportunities. If your student organization would like assistance finding or planning a service event, feel free to schedule an appointment with the Program Coordinator for Volunteer Services.
