The Mission of the MBRS-SCORE
Program is to significantly increase the number of
under-represented minorities conducting Biomedical Research.
The Goal of the MBRS-SCORE
Program at UTSA is to develop Biomedical Research capability of
the faculty.
The Measurable
objectives for MBRS-SCORE program:

Increase the number of
publications in peer-reviewed journals
-
Increase the number of
extramural, individual, non-MBRS grants both submitted and
funded
-
Increase the number of faculty
with at least one collaboration with another laboratory
resulting in a refereed publication or grant application
-
Increase the number of
refereed publications or grant submissions resulting from
the acquisition of new research techniques or directions
Supported Activities:

Provide funds to purchase
supplies/equipment for faculty Provide
funds for faculty and summer support

Provide funds for research related
activities-meetings, semiars Provide
administrative support such as faculty
appointment, purchasing, travel
arrangements, evaluation, reports to
sponsors,etc
