Where is PrintSmart UTSA used? (back)

It is used in the student computing labs and the Library at either the 1604 or the Downtown campus.

Do students get any free printing ? (back)

Each student will receive an allocation of 200 free pages each semester. The free pages have no cash value.

Black and white, single-sided page -- 8 cents 
Black and white, double-sided page -- 12 cents 
Color, single-sided page -- 48 cents

Can I print duplex and color anywhere? (back)

Duplex and color printing can only be done in the student computing labs.

Do I still need to make a reservation to print in color in the labs? (back)

No.

Can I save money by bringing my own paper to the labs or the Library? (back)

No. Outside supplies are not allowed in the labs or Library.

How do I pay for printing? (back)

Students, faculty and staff can use their UTSACard or a "guest card" can be purchased.

What if I need to add money to my UTSACard? (back)

Cash Value Card stations located in the student computing labs and the Library can add money to the card using cash. During normal business hours the Fiscal Services Office at either campus will accept cash or credit card payment.

How can I keep track of the number of pages I print? (back)

Before you print, a pop-up window will display your account information and how much the print job will cost.

Do I need my UTSACard to print? (back)

It depends. You will need a card to print in the Library and from the Mac and group workstations in the labs. We encourage you to bring your card with you each time.

What if I am not a student? (back)

Faculty and staff should use the UTSACard or purchase a Guest Card. (Be sure to add money to the account.)

UTSA Administrative Offices and Academic Departments may purchase cards for use by faculty, graduate assistants and staff for printing in the labs/Library.

Visitors in the Library who wish to print may purchase a Guest Card from the card station located there.

Lab or Library staff will be available to answer questions and to assist if there are any printing problems.
