Welcome to Student Conduct and Community Standards
The mission of Student Conduct and Community Standards is to create an environment that strives to ensure a fair and objective process that upholds the high behavioral and academic standards articulated in the UTSA Student Code of Conduct. Student Conduct and Community Standards encourages students to actively participate in the full university experience including the intentional transformation of their decision making patterns through engagement, personal development, interpersonal development, and community membership.
Student Conduct and Community Standards looks to the future to be recognized internationally as a leader in developing a comprehensive and intentional sanctioning model for fellow student conduct officers to follow. And, to be looked to as an innovator in the area of student conduct which truly changes the face of university discipline.
- Civility - We value a university environment that fosters positive student behavior in and out of the classroom. To facilitate students understanding that civility is an integral component of any education, and that engaging in a dialogue of very diverse ideas benefits all participants.
- Ethics - We are dedicated to adhering to moral principles that strive to ensure students receive a process that is fair, honest, and student centered.
- Diversity - We value and happily accept that students are very different in their backgrounds and experiences, and that those differences are beneficial to the University, fellow roadrunners, and the greater San Antonio community.
- Collaboration – We realize that working together and partnering with community members, families, faculty, and staff provides the best resources for our students to achieve success in their educational journey.
