Student Leadership Academy

Do you feel like you have what it takes to get a job after you graduate?

In a nationwide survey, employers identified the key skills and traits they seek when hiring recent college graduates.

To help UTSA students prepare for the challenges they will face both during their college years and beyond, Leadership and Volunteer Services is offering training in these marketable leadership skills, which also lay the foundation for effective leadership and are necessary to advance in most fields. You can find all of our upcoming workshops via RowdyLink

These workshops are organized into three levels allowing you to advance as far as you choose to go, and action steps are included within each level to allow you to put these skills into practice. The topics for each of the workshops were determined based on the NACE professional competencies, and the three levels are based on the three domains of the Social Change Model, which together form the framework for the SLA Program.

SLA Completions

Your successful completion of this training will be certified via our SLA Pathway in RowdyLink, giving you documentation to provide to prospective employers. The training you receive will also prepare you be able to articulate the skills you have gained in the interview process.
