UTSA Student Health Services has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation distinguishes this clinic from many other outpatient facilities by providing the highest quality of care to its patients as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation.

"I am thrilled to be able to announce that AAAHC has awarded UTSA Student Health Services an unrestricted three year accreditation term," stated Samuel Gonzales, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs. "The staff collaborated with each other and with accredited institutions across the USA for the last two years in preparing to meet the rigorous standards necessary for accreditation."

The Graduation Coordination Team would like to thank all the Student Affairs staff members who worked one or more of the five commencement ceremonies on December 19 & 20, 2012. Over 9,900 guests attended the five ceremonies and watched 1,862 graduates walk the stage. This massive undertaking would not have been successfully completed without your dedication and hard work. Thank you again for your tireless service to our students and their families.

Congratulations to John Kaulfus on his new position of Assistant Vice President/Dean of Students at Texas A&M University-Commerce! We wish him continued success and thank him for his many years of service to UTSA and the Division of Student Affairs.

Dear Mr. Kaulfus and Dr. McKinney:

I wanted to wish both of you and your loved ones a great 2013 and convey my deepest gratitude for making my 85 year old dad proud of me and of UTSA.

I really appreciate (as does he) everything you gentlemen did on our behalf and in helping make possible a day neither my dad and I really thought would ever come.

Maybe now I'll finally be off the hook somewhat for all those tuition bills he incurred while I was too busy lollygagging instead of appreciating the gift I was given; the gift of higher education and the chance to better myself.

Thanks again for all your many kind efforts on my behalf.

I could not have been this successful in my educational journey without your words, deeds and best wishes.

Go Roadrunners!

Sincerely,
Harold John Davies
