About The TEAM Center

Our Vision:
The Teaching Excellence, Advancement, and Mentoring Center (The TEAM Center) at UTSA has as its goal the promotion of teaching excellence in the pursuit of learning. The Center offers teaching orientation training for new faculty as well as lectures and workshops on teaching and learning issues, and training in the use of technology to enhance teaching. The Center is also in the process of developing a mentoring program.

Mission Statement

The TEAM Center's mission is to facilitate student learning by providing faculty and teaching assistants with resources and incentives, which promote effective teaching practices and create a campus culture that values and rewards teaching. Excellence in teaching is an integral component of student learning and success, which, in turn, is central to UTSA's goal of becoming a premier public institution of higher education in South Texas with a strong national and international reputation.
