
New UTSA students enhance math, writing skills at summer institute
(Aug. 18, 2004)--Students from UTSA and San Antonio College recently participated in the first annual Bridging Summer Institute presented by the Teacher Academy Learning Community.

The institute focuses on enhancing the mathematics and writings skills of freshmen and transfer students coming into UTSA's teacher preparation programs.
Students are provided with training on educational technology, electronic portfolios, individual and group career counseling, mentoring strategies and strategies for academic success.
