To further promote emergency preparedness, take a moment to review this information on training classes:
SD 457: UTSA Emergency Preparedness -- Emergency Management teamed up with HR Training and Development to create this interactive online course featuring training modules on preparedness and response procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, rally points, threats/hazards, active shooter awareness and more. The course engages trainees through multiple learning methods that include interactive scenarios, games and video.
SA 491: Skywarn Stormspotter Course -- To enhance your weather knowledge, the UTSA Office of Emergency Management has teamed with the National Weather Service to bring you the Oct. 17 course. You will learn weather basics, radar interpretation and how to report severe weather to the National Weather Service. The course is taught by NWS warning coordination meteorologists and helps UTSA remain an accredited NWS Storm-Ready University.
