UTSA Main Campus is an early voting site for primary election
(Feb. 16, 2016) -- The UTSA Main Campus is a designated early voting site for the March 1 Texas presidential primary election. This is the first time that UTSA has been selected as an early voting site for a presidential primary election.
Any registered Bexar County voter may vote at UTSA between February 16 and February 26 in the Applied Engineering and Technology Building (AET 1.100).
An on-campus early voting site encourages students to become engaged citizens by exercising their civic responsibility to vote and participating in the political process.
UTSA officials also encourage faculty, staff and others in the surrounding area, such as those employed at Valero, NuStar and other area businesses, to take advantage of the convenient early voting location. Voters may park in the designated parking spots in front of the AET Building while on campus for the voting process only.
Early voting times are:
Tuesday, February 16 – Friday, February 19
8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday, February 20
8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday, February 21
Noon - 6 p.m.
Monday, February 22 – Friday, February 26
8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Texas requires all voters to present an approved form of photo identification to vote in any election. Acceptable forms of photo ID include:
• Texas driver license, issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
• Texas Election Identification Certificate, issued by DPS
• Texas personal identification card, issued by DPS
• Texas concealed handgun license, issued by DPS
• U.S. military identification card with photograph
• U.S. citizenship certificate with photograph
• U.S. Passport
On Election Day, March 1, voters must vote at their designated precinct locations.
