UTSA photo of the day: A little piece of history

(March 22, 2016) — Not everyone can say they have a dinosaur named after them, but Marina Suarez, UTSA professor of geology, certainly can. She and her twin sister, Celina, discovered this piece of dinosaur skull in Utah in 2011. It turned out to be a previously unknown species. As a result the dino, Geminiraptor suarezarum, is named for them.
