The online rankings guide uses data from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Educational Programs (CACREP) and College Navigator to score accredited counseling programs from across the country on affordability and financial assistance.  CACREP is a national organization that accredits master’s and doctoral degree programs in counseling.

The UTSA doctoral program in Counselor Education and Supervision, a CACREP-accredited program offered by the College of Education and Human Development, prepares professional counselors for future careers in academic, clinical, research and consultation settings. It is designed to provide students with the advanced theoretical knowledge, clinical and research skills, and advanced clinical supervision skills necessary to work in academic counselor education departments at colleges and universities, and in school and community practice.
