Claudia originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico was raised in the Westside of San Antonio. She received her Bachelor’s in Human Services from Wayland Baptist University then later earned a Master’s of Science in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University Kingsville. She is also in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Psychology at Walden University. Claudia has years of experience working with the Alamo Colleges in different capacities including advising and teaching student development courses to freshman and sophomores. Her teaching experience also extends to teaching Psychology courses at San Antonio College, Northeast Lakeview College, and Galen College for Nursing, and Texas A&M University San Antonio. She received the Teaching Excellence Award back-to-back in Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 from the Texas A&M University Systems. Claudia has a genuine interest in helping students and strives to empower and guide students to reach their academic goals. In her personal time, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family and going on walks with her German Shepherd Dog “Rock”.
