Integration updates: New working groups and FAQs

Colleagues,

 I am writing to share a brief update on our work to merge UTSA and UT Health San Antonio and our drive toward building one preeminent public research university.  

The Research, Discovery and Innovation Task Force now has a dedicated page on our integration website,  complete with the group’s charter and membership. This task force is comprised of leadership, faculty and administrative staff from both universities and charged with helping drive the expansion of our mission by optimizing research administration for scalability and enhanced user experience, advancing commercialization efforts and fostering new research developments. Information regarding working groups falling under this task force will be added to the page in the weeks to come.
 
The Academic, Student and Faculty Affairs Task Force has launched three new working groups to tackle core aspects of our joint academic enterprise, including:

As we advance on our integration journey, many additional task forces and working groups will be launched to drive innovation and collaboration. Additionally, new opportunities for input and engagement are currently being formalized, and we’ll share those details as soon as they are final. Until then, please continue to share your ideas and concerns using our website feedback form so your important input can be considered and incorporated.
