Community resources after recent floods

July 6, 2025

Dear UTSA Community,

Yesterday, we shared an update about the catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River. We are devastated by the tremendous loss and know this disaster has directly impacted many students, faculty, staff, alumni and family members throughout our Roadrunner community. UTSA stands ready to offer support and resources as we struggle with this devastating tragedy.
  • The Roadrunner Pantry & Whataburger Resource Room is open to all UTSA students, staff and faculty in need. The pantry is located on the Main Campus in the Student Union 1.04.06 and is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact the pantry at roadrunnerpantry@utsa.edu with any questions.
Many in our community have already reached out to see how they can offer support. Here are ways you can help fellow Roadrunners and others across the region impacted by recent flooding:
  • Donate to the Roadrunner Pantry. Monetary donations can be made online and are tax deductible as allowable by law. Food donations are accepted in marked bins located outside the pantry on the first floor of the Student Union 1.04.06.
Over the coming days, our Student Affairs and People Excellence teams will reach out to impacted students, faculty, and staff from the region to check-in and to provide counseling, academic resources and support. If you are in need of support or resources, please know that we are here to help you during this extremely difficult time.

In this time of profound loss, we ask that our community continue to come together with compassion and unwavering support for one another. Our hearts are with every member of our community affected by this tragedy—we stand beside you, now and forever.

Sincerely,
