APRIL 14, 2020 — UTSA will hold virtual commencement ceremonies for spring 2020 graduates on May 23 and 24 as one part of the celebration for the Class of 2020.
President Taylor Eighmy announced in March that UTSA’s in-person May commencement ceremonies would be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the interim, the virtual ceremonies give graduates a memorable occasion to mark all the hard work that went into earning their degrees.
The planned virtual ceremonies will provide a commemorative opportunity for the graduates and their families that will include an opportunity to include a graduate photo and personal message of thanks to families and faculty. Individual slides will be immediately available to share on social media.
Each graduate will have an opportunity to have their name and accomplishments professionally read. The virtual ceremonies will also include custom video messages from university leadership specifically for the Class of 2020.
⇒ Discover more about the virtual ceremonies on UTSA’s Commencement website.
UTSA is actively planning ways to celebrate the Class of 2020’s accomplishments in-person once the university is able to do so safely and public gatherings are allowed.
The entire Roadrunner community is invited to view the virtual commencement ceremonies, which can be viewed at the designated broadcast times or watched later.
