UTeachSA gave me the proper tools and experiences to effectively teach and serve the students in my school. The program not only prepared me to survive in this career, but to thrive and influence it into something better for the future.

The UTeachSA program was amazing! Through these courses I learned how to be helpful and understanding towards students with learning disorders, students in Special Education and students whose first language is not English. I learned how to plan engaging, multi-modal lessons and how to cooperate with coworkers through group projects and presentations. Furthermore, the class and small group discussions exposed me to different perspectives and inspired me with ideas I wouldn't have thought of on my own. The field work gave me the experience I needed to be a good teacher and the mentors I've had were amazing, helpful, encouraging and inspirational. They went above and beyond to help me and my classmates. I highly recommend going into this program because the experiences I've had and lessons I've learned from it are invaluable.
