Under the leadership of the senior associate vice president for Administration and Operations, our teams provide key support to the division of Business Affairs and the university. Five core teams provide this support: Business Contracts, Business Service Center, People Excellence, Risk and Emergency Management, and Strategic Communications.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Business Affairs division has been central to planning and facilitating the university's operational response and recovery plans. The Recovery Operations Team, which includes select members from Risk and Emergency Management and Strategic Communications, serves as administrative support for UTSA's pandemic response operations, coordinates on-campus COVID-19 testing and vaccination programs, and oversees COVID Case Report management. The assistant vice president for Administration and Operations directly oversees the Recovery Operations Team, which also includes the university's chief medical officer and key support staff.
