Under the leadership of the assistant vice president for Administration and Operations, our teams provide key support to the division of Business Affairs and the university. Four core teams provide this support: Business Contracts, Business Service Center, Risk and Emergency Management, and Strategic Communications.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Business Affairs division has been central to planning and facilitating the university's operational response and recovery plans. The Recovery Operations Team, which includes select members from Risk and Emergency Management and Strategic Communications, serves as administrative support for UTSA's Recovery Operations Committee, coordinates on-campus COVID-19 testing and vaccination programs, and liaises with UTSA's Public Health Task Force. The assistant vice president for Administration and Operations directly oversees the Recovery Operations Team, which also includes the university's chief medical officer and key support staff.
