UTSA will host its fourth annual UTSA Giving Day on April 9 and 10 to raise funds for student success initiatives including career-readiness programs, experiential learning opportunities, research and discovery efforts, and overall program support across the entire university.
UTSA Giving Day originally launched in 2021 as part of Be Bold: A Campaign for Our Future, the largest fundraising campaign in university history. Be Bold has raised more than $380 million from over 46,000 donors across 22 countries.
Since its launch, UTSA Giving Day has raised $1.7 million from 6,268 unique donors; of these, 2,577 have been alumni. The fundraising event’s annual tagline, Build the Nest, brings attention to UTSA’s goal to rally its entire community in supporting university programs for current and future generations of students. Each year, gifts have been secured from across all 50 states, underscoring remarkable nationwide alumni and donor support for the university.
“I am immensely grateful to our incredible donors, ambassadors and champions who, year after year, make UTSA Giving Day such a huge success,” said UTSA President Taylor Eighmy. “The results of this campaign affirm our community’s commitment to preparing career-ready Roadrunners who go out into the professional workforce to significantly build the economic impact of our city and state while solving grand challenges that change the world.”
I can’t even emphasize enough just how much this type of support alleviates barriers for higher education and hope UTSA Giving Day 2024 proves to be just as impactful.
We are committed to helping friends and supporters of The University of Texas at San Antonio engage with the university in ways that will create a bold future for our students, faculty, and staff. Whatever your interest at UTSA, we can help you make a lasting impact on Roadrunner Nation.
