Campus Climate Survey Postponed
After collaborating with Senior Leadership, The Inclusive Excellence Advisory Board, Human Resources, the Staff Senate and the Faculty Senate President, it has been determined that, due to the impact of the COVID-19 situation, the Campus Climate Survey planned by UTSA leadership will be postponed until a future date to be determined in accordance with best practices for the well-being of the UTSA community. We will have more details in a future edition of the Daily Update.
Your Voice Counts
As a learning community fostering dialog and discovery, it is imperative that we provide opportunities for staff and faculty to have their voices heard regarding UTSA’s workplace climate.
To better understand our strengths and to identify areas where we need to improve, we are conducting a confidential Faculty and Staff Campus Climate Survey. The survey will assess your perceptions and experiences as an employee at UTSA around a variety of topics, including communication, management, professional development, workplace culture and inclusivity, among others.
We have engaged ModernThink—a highly respected firm that specializes in university employee engagement research—to administer the survey. In the Spring 2020 semester you will receive an email from ModernThink that includes your individual password and survey link. You will have 2 weeks to complete the survey. As a thanks for your time, you will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for one of three parking passes of your choice, or one of ten $50 gift cards.
The survey results will become available in the spring semester, and we will be sure to share them with all of you. They will establish a baseline for us to periodically measure change in the university’s culture and inclusiveness, inform our institutional priorities and benchmark UTSA with similar institutions nationwide. Your candid feedback is vital to the success of the survey, and your responses will be entirely confidential and unidentifiable.
Because this survey serves multiple purposes, the intent is that it will reduce the overall number of faculty-staff surveys administered at UTSA.
