TECHNOLOGY MAINTENANCE

This message is to alert you to some important technology maintenance taking place over the next few days.

 

PeopleSoft: Beginning on Friday, November 14, from 6:00 p.m. CST and lasting until noon on Sunday, November 16, PeopleSoft will be completely unavailable while UTS and UT Shared Services implement upgrades. After the system updates are completed, we highly recommend that all user’s clear browser cache to remove outdated information. For instructions, click here and select your web browser.

 

My.utsa.edu websites: On Saturday, November 15, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., users may experience intermittent service interruptions to my.utsa.edu and related college websites due to firewall maintenance and upgrades being conducted.

 

Network services (Downtown and Southwest Campuses):

From Monday, November 17 at 10:00 p.m. until Tuesday, November 18 at 4:00 a.m., network service (including wired connections and AirRowdy Wi-Fi) will be unavailable at the following locations:

UTSA Downtown Campus: Monterey, Frio Street, Durango, and Buena Vista buildings

UTSA Southwest Campus: McAllister Ceramics Building, Urschel Administration Building, YMCA, Santico’s areas, and the new Negley and Tobin buildings

 

Please note that San Pedro I and the Main Campus are expected to remain unaffected.

 

To offer the best possible service, regular updates and maintenance on UTSA systems are required. While this work is essential, we also recognize that it may present an inconvenience to our users. We thank you for your patience as we work to provide a better user experience with technology services.

TECHNOLOGY ALERT

Tech Solutions (UTS) is aware of an intermittent application access issue affecting MyUTSA Account, UTSA Mobile, Canvas and Adobe Creative Cloud Applications. Some users are experiencing slow performance or disconnections when attempting to use these applications. This issue is related to a widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) service disruption impacting cloud-based applications nationwide. Our team is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
