Department Telephone Line Inventory Report Now Available in the InSight Application

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) recently integrated telephone support requests into the OITConnect Self-Service Portal. This transition will simplify your experience initiating and following up on requests. Your telephone requests will be consolidated into the existing OITConnect system where your other IT service orders are managed.

In addition, OIT released a new feature in InSight (UTSA's information resources reporting application) on November 1, 2015, making it easier for departments to review their telephone line inventory. The Telephone Line Inventory Report which is viewable by department owners and delegates.

The InSight computer application is an information resources reporting tool. Within InSight, you can find vital information on the health and status of the computers in your area. Now you can also find information on your department's telephone equipment.

The InSight Telephone Line Inventory Report* information displayed will include:

  • Telephone model
  • Extension
  • Assigned user
  • Location of phone
  • Cost center

*Note: This report is viewable by department owners and delegates.

To access the Telephone Line Inventory Report log in to InSight using your myUTSA ID and passphrase. In the application you will see a Telephone Inventory icon (pictured) on the top right hand section of the screen. Click on the icon to display the Telephone Line Inventory Report for your department.

Note: To access the InSight Application, ensure you are connected to the UTSA Network or connect through UTSA’s VPN service.
