Director of Customer Service and Operations Support Ben Garcia served as a panelist for a discussion at this month's CIO Breakfast hosted by the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. The event was held earlier today at the Petroleum Club of San Antonio.

The CIO Breakfast series, sponsored by world-renowned data center services provider CyrusOne, is a monthly gathering of IT and technology leaders. An invitation-only event, it provides participants with a forum to engage in discourse about technology-related issues and innovations.

Garcia, along with Chief Security Officer of Rackspace Brian Kelly and Technology Council Chair and Director of Workforce Development at New Horizons Computer Learning Center Gary Britton, led the discussion which focused on an array of topics including talent acquisition, staff augmentations, managed services, local talent and workforce development.

"It was a great honor representing UTSA and being asked to be a panel speaker at the April 2016 North SA Chamber CIO Breakfast discussion on IT Human Capital and Workforce Development," Garcia shared. "Equally honored to be part of a panel with such experts as Brian Kelly of Rackspace and Gary Britton of New Horizons Computer Learning Center."

This June, Garcia and Interim Executive Director of Infrastructure Services and Deputy CIO Anthony Espinoza will facilitate a UTSA Field Trip exercise as part of that month's CIO Breakfast.
