The Office of Information Technology (OIT) hosted a SharePoint Online training on May 17, 2016 in the North Paseo Building computer lab (NPB 1.416). Project Coordinator Rosalind Ong De Trevino of OIT's Customer Relations and Communications (CRC) team and Telecommunications Manager Mary-Margaret Echevarria facilitated the training session, which was open to UTSA faculty and staff. In addition, Communications Specialist Nicole Duff provided assistance to attendees as they navigated SharePoint during the course.

The introductory training provided a basic overview of the collaborative platform and focused mainly on the following areas:

  1. Team Collaboration
  2. Social Features (Newsfeed)
  3. Editing, Uploading and Sharing Documents
  4. Navigating Team Sites
  5. Connecting SharePoint Calendars to Outlook

This training session culminated OIT's faculty and staff training for the spring semester. The next SharePoint Online training is slated for the fall.
