Office of Information Technology (OIT) Video Production Producer Jose Carrillo started the festivities during the 2016 Innovations in Online Learning (IOL) Conference on May 25 at the Hotel Contessa in downtown San Antonio.

Carrillo's presentation titled "Video is Worth a Million Words: What Video Production can do for you and your Course," discussed how video enhances online courses and engages students by allowing the professor to explain the topic in more depth than they can do in class. In the presentation, Carrillo explained best practices to consider when developing the course video and how instructional designers and the Video Production team can assist in production, storyboarding, recording, and editing videos.
