Director of Customer Service and Operations Support of the UTSA Office of Information Technology (OIT) Ben Garcia served as an advisor for this year's San Antonio IT Symposium. Held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, the annual conference unites members of Information Technology leadership from across the region.

The all-day conference, which boasted of more than 200 executive level attendees and almost 100 companies, featured a series of interactive break-out sessions focused on a myriad of topics ranging from innovation and leadership to infrastructure. The sessions also delved into some of the challenges that IT leaders are experiencing at their respective companies and offered solutions to address said challenges. In addition, attendees were provided an opportunity to network with each other at the conference's networking reception.

Hosted by EFM events, the IT Symposium Conferences are the most important gathering of CIOs and their senior IT leaders in various regions of the United States. Currently, these symposiums are held in 31 cities allowing attendees to delve into various technology strategies while networking with each other. This year's conference was the seventh annual convening of the symposium. Garcia has served as an advisory board member of the San Antonio IT Symposium since 2015.
