Teen Studio Intensive is for middle and high school aged teens with a strong interest in visual arts. The program provides the young artist an opportunity to develop their portfolio by committing to an academic year-long program for high school students and a semester long program for middle school students. Students are also involved in various community and service-learning opportunities throughout their time in the program.
Prospective students interested in Teen Studio Intensive, but can’t commit to a full semester, may consider joining First Saturday Teen Studio or Second Saturday Middle School Studio sessions. These programs offer the same engaging and creative environment without the long-term commitment.
This studio class meets the first Saturday of the month for 3 consecutive months, 3 sessions, and is geared to students grades 9 – 12 that are artistically motivated and creatively minded. First Saturday Teen Studio aims to assist students with art making foundations and techniques focusing on individual portfolio development for potential future acceptance into other programs or opportunities. It is held on the first Saturday of each month from October through May.
This studio class meets the second Saturday of the month for 3 consecutive months and is geared to middle school students, grades 6– 8, that are artistically motivated and creatively minded. Second Saturday Middle School Studio aims to assist students with art making foundations and introductory techniques. It is held on the second Saturday of each month from October through December.
Do you color yourself as a natural creative? Someone who seeks to deepen their understanding of art and humanity through enlightening moments, performances and expression in visual artifacts? If this describes you, then you may want to consider exploring a degree in studio art.
