Research Interests
Dr. Niu’s research has improved key problem areas in cyber security, privacy compliance, formal methods, and software engineering. Through the use of formal methods and program analysis, she is able to heighten assurance that privacy regulations are complied with and security policies are enforced. Her research also includes protecting personal information by detecting privacy violations of mobile applications using natural language processing.
