UTSA photo of the day: UTSA educates students and the community about tradition of el Día de los Muertos
(Nov. 3, 2016) -- UTSA held an interactive event on Nov. 2 to educate the community about the tradition of el Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. The event featured performances, poetry readings and a discussion about the history of the holiday. Pictured here is Altar Para Las Culturas Indigenas de Yucatán, an art installation by local artist Andy Villarreal, which will be on display at Gallery 23 on the UTSA Main Campus for the next three months.
