(Aug. 2, 2018) -- The UTSA women’s golf program received its second straight Conference USA Sport Academic Award, the league office announced today.
The Sport Academic Award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the academic year. This is the second year in a row UTSA achieved the highest team GPA among league women’s golf programs.
Led by InTouchCredit Union C-USA All-Academic Team selections Julie Houston and Nikki Long, the Roadrunners registered a 3.68 GPA for the 2017-18 academic year. Houston and Long joined Ana Gonzalez and Alexandra Lessing as C-USA Academic Medalists, while the entire six-person roster made the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
